Dave’s Reise nach Osten

I am a fan of Terra Naomi’s music. And I was disappointed when seeing an outdated poster in the metro crying in my face that I just missed to see her live. I went to her website and found a blogpost about India where she states:

Living on the road is hard!!! Especially in India. People seem to like to feed me here.

Is she insensitive or just stupid? How sarcastic is that? There are a lot of people literally living on the road, not just figuratively and they don’t get enough food. They beg, they starve. Sure there are feeding programs and charities and I am not into giving to beggars either. But quoting that ‘living on the road is difficult because of too much food’ is sarcastic, to say the least.
